JSC “Siberian Anthracite” extracts unique UHG (Ultra High Grade) anthracite in Gorlovsky Coal Basin situated in the Iskitimskiy district, Novosibirsk region. The Company owns and controls two washing plants — “Listvyanskaya-1” and “Listvyanskaya-2”. The company owns Gorlovsky motor fleet, railroad section leading from Linevo railway station and railway station “Pogruzochnaya”.

The Company also owns coal mining enterprises – Gorlovsky, Urgunsky and Kolyvansky open-cast mines.

The Gorlovsky open mine began operating in 1980 and has a maximum depth of 180m. The Urgunsky open mine has been set in operation since 1980 and has a maximum depth of 100 m. Exploration of these mines is carried out in accordance with JSC “Sibgiproshaht” Institute project.

Kolyvansky open mine (Severny) has been exploited on an experimental and industrial basis since 1994.On the basis of an established site, the construction of the Kolyvanskoye quarry was launched in 2005 with the capacity to produce 1,500,000 tons of coal per year. Kolyvansky open mine development project was developed by “Sibgiproshaht” Institute. Current mining depth is 100 m, in future this indicator will increase to 300 m.

Since 2007, the Company has developed Krutihinsky parts of Kolyvansky field. The “Giprougol” Institute developed the Kolyvansky (Severny) open-cast mine reconstruction project in connection with accession of Krutihinskoye mine reserves. The project will provide the connection Krutihinsky and Severny parts.

In December 2008 «Siberian Anthracite» have won the tender for a license for exploration, development and maintenance of anthracite mining in the Vostochny part of Kolyvansky field.
