JSC “Siberian Anthracite” has received the license for exploration, development and maintenance of anthracite mining in the Vostochniy mine of Kolyvansky field in the Novosibirsk region. The reserves of Vostochny are estimated at 159.2 million tons in categories C1+C2. The competition for a license was held on 2 December 2008.

Development of Vostochny is one of the key factors for increasing of production volume. The mine will be developed in an open way, as well as other deposits of the Company. The project of company development includes the mine construction, the construction of a third washing plant, of the driveway to the railway station Evsino, the development of railway infrastructure backbone of Novosibirsk region, the construction of the rail road to “Kolyvansky” field.
The aggregate reserves of the Company are exceed about 380 million tons of anthracite. Mining and geological conditions for the development of the mine is described as favorable, deposit has a low water cutting.
