Siberian Anthracite reaches 3 million tons production milestone

Siberian Anthracite — one of the world’s largest producers of high quality ultra high grade (UHG) anthracite — announces that in August 2013 the company miners reached the third million tons of anthracite which was planned to be mined in 2013.

Siberian Anthracite  — one of the world’s largest producers of high quality ultra high grade (UHG) anthracite — announces that in August 2013 the company miners reached the level of 3 million tons of anthracite which was planned to be mined in 2013. On 14 Aug. 2013 mining level reached 3, 002 million tones.

Anthracite production is performed according to the agreed schedule, development strategy and investment program.

JSC “Siberian Anthracite” is one of the world’s largest producers of high quality ultra high grade (UHG) anthracite. The company carries out open-pit mining at deposits in the Gorlovsky coal basin in the Novosibirsk region. In late 2006 Siberian Anthracite launched investment programe to create a world-leading UHG anthracite mining and processing facility with capacity of 9.5 million tons. To date, the company has upgraded and constructed the new extraction, processing and transport infrastructure, has organized more than 1200 working positions. Its fleet of mining equipment and machinery substantially overhauled and expanded. Run-of-mine anthracite volumes have grown by 3.5 times in 4 years.
